Simoshi registered the stand-alone project “Institutional Improved Cook Stoves for Schools and Institutions in Uganda” under the Clean Development Mechanism (10345) and The Gold Standard (GS4364) on the 7th of February 2017. To date, 12,407 GS Certified Emission Reductions and 11,865 Verified Emission Reductions have been generated by over 100 schools, while achieving 9 Sustainable Development Goals, from changing the traditional cooking practices from using 3-stone fires to energy efficient cook stoves.
